What is a EOP program?
The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) provides assistance through mentorship, academic programs, financial assistance, counseling/advising, and other campus support services to those who are first-generation college students, and/or from low-income and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds.
How much can you make with EOP?
$800 per year
Eligible students may qualify for an EOP grant of up to $800 per year. To be considered for a grant, you must apply for financial aid by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Due to insufficient funds, not all EOP students receive an EOP grant. (not the FAFSA).
What is the purpose of Summer Bridge?
Summer bridge programs are designed to ease the transition to college and support postsecondary success by providing students with the academic skills and social resources needed to succeed in a college environment. These programs occur in the summer “bridge” period between high school and college.
Is EOP the same as financial aid?
Financial aid is awarded on the basis of individual need. However, EOP grants are available to EOP students only.

You may apply to EOP if you meet all six of the following requirements: You are a California resident or AB540 student. Your family has a history of low income based on the Cal State Apply Guidelines. You are the first in your family to attend college.
