Lastly, I am proud to say we have 17 libraries around central campus and across the state offering access to highly trained faculty and staff, a deep collection of digital and printed resources and state of the art facilities designed to support individual and collaborative study and research.
How long is vet school at OSU?
Earning a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree requires dedication and hard work, but the rewards are returned for a lifetime. In general, students must complete three to four years of pre-veterinary undergraduate coursework followed by four years of a professional program in a college of veterinary medicine.
Does OSU have a veterinary program?
The college was established in 1975 and began its professional education program in 1979. Approximately 40 residents of Oregon and 32 nonresident students are selected to enter the OSU Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine. Completion of the professional program leads to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
Are OSU buildings open on weekends?
Aside from the Alber Student Center’s open hours on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, campus buildings normally will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Our business hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Pacific, Monday through Friday. Please note the Welcome Center’s campus-based operations will pause during winter break and/or university holidays. Check out our visit registration calendar for information on which dates we have open for campus visits.

When does Frank Stanton Veterinary Medical Center open?
The Frank Stanton Veterinary Spectrum of Care Clinic opened June 1, 2021, as the new home for the Veterinary Medical Center’s community practice team.
