When did Blizzard Beach close?
Following the temporary closure of the parks in 2020, Blizzard Beach reopened in March 2021. It’s unclear when Typhoon Lagoon will reopen or what the seasonal refurbishment schedule will look like moving forward. Just for reference, in 2019, Blizzard Beach closed beginning September 8, and reopened on January 19, 2020.

Short answer: our team prefers Universal’s Volcano Bay over Disney’s Blizzard Beach. There are better variety of attractions, better rivers, and better variety of food. It costs more for a single day ticket to Universal’s Volcano Bay than it does for a one day ticket to a Disney water park.
